Councilman Antonio Villaraigosa
and Assembly Speaker, Fabian Nunez to Speak at the
6 th Annual Su Voto Es Su Voz Golf Classic

Los Angeles, CA– Councilman Antonio Villaraigosa and Assembly Speaker Fabian Nunez will be the keynote speakers at the 6 th Annual Su Voto Es Su Voz Golf Classic on April 1, 2005. The tournament will be held at the California Country Club at 1509 S. Workman Mill Road in Whittier, California, 90601. “We’ve been hosting the Golf Classic in Los Angeles for the past six years and it’s always a great event which raises money for a very important cause,” said Antonio Gonzalez, the Executive Director of the Southwest Voter Registration Education Project. Proceeds from the event will go to fund the Latino Vote LA 2006 project.

Southwest Voter Registration Education Project is the nation’s largest and oldest non profit, non partisan Latino civic/voter participation organization dedicated solely to voter registration, voter education and voter mobilization. Nationally over the last three decades, SVREP has registered over 2.2 million new voters in over 2,300 non-partisan voter registration, voter education, and get-out the vote campaigns.

Registration for the Golf Tournament begins at 12:00 noon with a 12:45p.m. shotgun start. Special contests include longest drive, closest to the pin and hole in one. The hole in one car is being provided by Galpin Ford. A myriad of auction and raffle items will be available during the dinner which begins at 5:30p.m. immediately following the Golf Tournament.
