Earth Day Community Festival Features
Celebrity Soccer Match

April 15, 2005 (Los Angeles, CA) – Radio and television personalities, elected officials and community leaders will participate in an exhibition soccer match as part of Southwest Voter Registration Education Project’s (SVREP) Earth Day Community Festival on April 24, 2005 at Lincoln Park/Lincoln Heights.
Featured players of the soccer match include Mauricio Cardenas & Futbolmania of KVEA Channel 52 and the Allstars of Anahuak Youth Soccer Association. The Exhibition Soccer Match will commence at 3:00p.m. and is free to the public.

The Earth Day Community Festival will be an all-day event featuring music, ethnic food, presentations by elected officials, environmental exhibits and Aztec dancing and a voter registration drive. The festival is free and open to the public. Lincoln Park/Lincoln Heights is located at 3501 Valley Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90031.

Live remote radio broadcast in English by KPFK Pacifica featuring Strategy Sessions’s Antonio Gonzalez guests include representatives from Earth Day Network, NAACP-NVF, Renewable Energy Group, Mujeres de la Tierra, Mayoral candidates and elected officials such as Supervisor Gloria Molina.
