SVREP Promesa Fund
Porque Es Tu Promesa Para El Futuro Este 2008
Southwest Voter Registration Education Project (SVREP) is undertaking its most ambitious, grassroots funding initiative in its 32-year history. The SVREP Promesa Fund is designed to raise $1,000,000 for voter registration and mobilization campaigns within the Latino Community. What sets The Promesa Fund apart from past grassroots initiatives is not only the size of the fundraising goal, but the fact it will be raised solely by the Latino Community. This unparalleled fundraising effort will demonstrate that the Latino Community has not only achieved unprecedented political power, but has also become self-sufficient enough to sustain it.
How it works: SVREP simply asks people to promise to donate at least $1,000 by December 2008. Contributors can then "keep the promise" by donating with a lump sum or a series of smaller payments starting with $25 per month until Decemeber 2008. The idea is to build the Latino Community’s funding strength by not only engaging a network of professional contributors, but community members who would like to help, but do not feel they have the resources to make a difference. Donation Levels:
-
$75/Month - You will recieve 2 complimentary tickets to the SVREP Banquet of your choosing, a foursome at one of SVREP's Golf Tournaments, and a copy of The Life and Times of William C. Velasquez by Juan Sepulveda
$50/Month - You will recieve 2 complimentary tickets to either the SVREP Banquet of your choosing or a foursome at one of SVREP's Golf Tournaments and a copy of The Life and Times of William C. Velasquez by Juan Sepulveda
